About This Film
"Sometimes, everybody wants to be somewhere else."

I'm Your Baby is an independent road movie from the heart of award-winning filmmaker Josie Fite. It's a deeply romantic feature film about two self involved people, challenged to care for each other under unromantic circumstances.

Cookie is 23 years old. She's embarrassed, heartbroken, and two weeks pregnant. Robin is 32. He's a slightly-manic, joy-seeking friend-of-a-friend, and he's her ride to California to get an abortion. The two hit the road as strangers, but their journey through the southwest confronts them both with their need to be needed.

“Josie’s unflinching explorations of belonging and connection in an increasingly alienating world somehow straddle darkness and wit, realism and despair, fear and hope. She is a true artist, bold and resolved. If this is the future of American cinema, then we’re in good hands.”
–Chris Kelley (screenwriter: The Thicket)

“The American road trip with a serious aim but also serious unforeseen consequences, including, friendship, growth, vulnerability, and trust. People like Josie are really our only hope, no pressure.”
–Tim Johnston (New York Times bestselling author of The Heartland Trilogy)
